The first person we thought of making the cake for our special day is, of course, our good friend, Tina.  She is currently a part-owner of Yums In Tums – a made-to-order cake and food business that is based in Wellington, New Zealand.

Visit Yums In Tums on Facebook.

The result is better than what we’ve expected – a trully awesome Pastel Flowers fondant wedding cake that fits very well to our theme!

This is a three-tier fondant cake. But instead of putting one on top of another, it was placed in three different-leveled cake stands.  The effect is more dramatic.  We love it so much!

All those little fondant flowers were made and prepared before hand.  One by one, they were cut and carefully curled.  Some were stacked together, some have silver beads [edible], to make them stand out even more.Lola's DIY Party Tips - Pastel Flowers Wedding cake Lola's DIY Party Tips - Pastel Flowers Wedding cakeThis cake was placed in the middle of our Wedding table – where it deserves to be.
